The Children
The Children
We are currently accommodating 35 children from all different ages in Morning Star Children’s Home. Four of the toddlers attending a nearby nursery school and twenty four children attending a city council primary school, which is an hour’s walk from the children’s home. The nine senior children are in boarding secondary schools in Central Kenya during school terms. The holistic development of each child is very important for us and we believe it is important to lay a strong foundation in preparing them for adulthood. Here are the photos of all the children from the youngest to the oldest

We also have a chapel where the children attend Thursday and Sunday Church meetings. A big part of the land is cultivated for providing the children with fresh vegetables and legumes. The children are taking part in the gardening activities during weekends.
A playground provides space for the children to partake in different sport activities and games.
In the near future we are planning to build a primary school for our children and the community at large (Read more about this project).
